Wisconsin authorities say man confessed to kidnapping girl, 13: court papers

(Reuters) – The man accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl after murdering her parents confessed to the crimes after his arrest, prosecutors said in papers filed on Monday ahead of his initial court appearance.

Jake Patterson, 21, is due in court to face murder and kidnapping charges, just days after Jayme Closs, 13, ended her 88-day ordeal by escaping the rural home where she had been held hostage.
